Product information
Solstice® yf Refrigerant is a near drop-in replacement for R-134a in automobile A/C applications, helping automakers around the world comply with EU low GWP requirements. Air conditioning systems using Solstice yf refrigerant are generally more energy efficient than competing technologies.
R-1234YF now with UV Dye leak detection
Adding UV Dye to automobile refrigerant systems to detect leaks has long been a trick of the trade. Honeywell is now offering the same benefit with R-1234yf UV. This technology provides precise leak detection, shortened service times, accurate repair verification and increased customer satisfaction. Solstice yf refrigerant with UV dye will allow service technicians to maintain these benefits when servicing vehicles that were built with R-1234yf.Search SDS Number in SDS Finder – 11078
Solstice yf for heavy-duty vehicles
Due to the AIM Act in the US and F-Gas in the EU, the allowable production and consumption of HFC quota in the US and EU will reduce again in 2024. As a result, the supply and price of 134a may become more volatile. With additional HFC quota reductions planned beyond 2024, 134a volatility is expected to continue to increase as the US and EU essentially phase out all HFCs over the next decade. In fact, the US has proposed a ban of 134a in all Heavy-Duty Off-Road vehicles effective 2026. Why wait until the last minute to convert when your back is up against the wall and you can’t find enough 134a, or it becomes too expensive? Make the switch today! Convert your heavy-duty off-road and on-road vehicles to Solstice yf.
Easy to adopt and use
Solstice yf is easy to adopt and use at your manufacturing site because it is a near drop-in replacement for 134a. Solstice® yf provides efficient and effective cooling and heating for conventional air conditioning systems as well as newer hybrid or electric-vehicle heat pump systems for heavy-duty applications.
